SOUTH POINT - Wilma McCann Payne, 72, of South Point, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
Wilma was born Aug. 7, 1941, in Fort Gay, W.Va., a daughter of the late Homer F. and Ada Artrip McCann. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jennings Wray McCann.
Wilma graduated from Fort Gay High School. She worked as the office manager of Sell & Serve Marketing for more than 10 years and was the owner and manager of Char-Cal Inc. in South Point.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Payne; a daughter, Kim (Howard) Curtis of South Point; a stepson, Rick (Pam) Payne of South Point; a brother, Frank (Loretta) McCann of Lavalette, W.Va.; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and her boys, Tiki and Chipper.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug, 20, 2013, at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point by Pastor Aaron Childers. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
