Willis "Wick" Parsons 89 of Russell, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at his residence.
Wick was born October 22, 1928 in Carter County, Kentucky to the late William and Leava Messer Parsons.
Wick was a retired from ARMCO Steel and Building contractors. He was a member of the Home Builders Association and a faithful member of Bridges Christian Church.
In addition to his parents Wick was preceded in death by his first wife Phyllis Burton Parsons; a daughter Ruby Jean Tice; a grandson Randy Tice; seven brothers and five sisters.
Wick leaves behind his loving wife of 8 1/2 years Nola "Peach" Church Parsons; two sons, Greg Parsons (Sally) of Lexington, Ky and Neal Parsons (Jill) of Findlay, OH; two daughters, Deborah Gullett (Gary) of Russell, KY and Kristy Bradley (John) of Lexington, KY; 12 grandchildren Carrie Wilson (Sean), Amy Rumford (Chad), Angie Cochran (Michael), Jennie McDaniel (Jimmy), Emily Blankenship (Nate), Ellen Bradley, Claire Bradley (Ben Hart), Abby Parsons, Molly Hanley (Zach), Sarah Parsons, Owen Parsons (Ashley) and Seth Parsons (Allison); 18 great-grandchildren Trace, Ben, Matthew, Kaley, Ava, Kate, Davis, Josh, Hannah, Zack, Faith, Lucas, Remi, Gregory, June Anna, Elliot, Avery; three step-children, Ronda Bradshaw (Andy), Richard Thacker (Michele) and Karin Thacker; nine step-grandchildren; 13 step great- grandchildren, along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 16, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Bridges Christian Church in Russell with Tom Lawson, Minister officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be after 11:00 at the church.
Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood is in charge of the arrangements.
