ASHLAND - Wanda Jean Manley Conley, 87, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 24, 2012.
Wanda was the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Dora Henry Manley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George D. Conley; a brother, Joe Manley Jr.; and two sisters, Azalea Osborne and Marilyn Henneman.
She attended Holy Family School and was a member of Holy Family Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Wanda was proud of her hometown of Ashland and her church. She was an avid Ashland and University of Kentucky sports fan.
In past years, Wanda worked for the Heart Association and served in several capacities for other charitable organizations. Her hobbies included bowling, canasta club and working in the yard. Wanda's house was always open to family and friends of her children.
Survivors include a sister, Agatha Weinfurtner; two sons, Larry (Lori) Conley and Joe Conley; three daughters, Linda (Bill) Meyers, Jennifer (David) Gray and Pam (Joe) Layman; nine grandchildren, Tim Gray, Stacy Gray, Rusty Gray, Phil Layman, Angie Layman, Chris Conley, Ryan Conley, Melissa McBryde and Jessica Franklin; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Holy Family Church, 900 Winchester Ave., Ashland, KY 41101-7497; the Putnam Stadium Restoration Foundation, P.O. Box 3000, Ashland, KYa��41105-3000; or the Boyd County Animal Shelter, 1025 Bob McCullough Drive, Ashland, KY 41102-8756.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Church in Ashland.
