Walter "Jack" Stubblefield Sr., 76, of Ashland, passed away July 4, 2014, in the VA Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.
He was born May 20, 1938, in Stevenson, Ala., to the late Alfred and Ella Gamble Stubblefield. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Stubblefield, and a granddaughter, Victoria Lynn Frye.
Jack was the founder and owner of JS Vinyl and served proudly in the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by sons Walter Stubblefield Jr. (Melonie) and Keith Stubblefield (Crystal), all of Ashland, and Richard Gray of Huntsville, Ala.; daughters Calecia "Teasi" Ray (Shannon) of Dade City, Fla., and Jacqueline "Jackie" Frye (Scott) of Lithia, Fla.; brothers James Stubblefield of Des Plains, Ga., and Jerry Stubblefield (Phyllis) of Stafford, Va.; 18 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Chaplain Jimm Smedley. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland, with military rites by Kenova American Legion Post 93.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
