Thomissa Hazlett

Thomissa Hazlett died Wednesday, November 28, 2018.

She was born in Edenton, NC on June 14, 1935 to the late Thomas and Laura Goodman and was married to the love of her life, the late Dr. Claude C. Hazlett for 46 years.

Thomissa attended UNC-Greensboro and graduated from North Carolina Baptist Hospital where she worked as an ER head nurse.

She was a member of Buechel Park Baptist Church for many years where she was active in the choir.

Thomissa is survived by her daughter, Claudia Kay (Kenny); grandchildren, Derek and Alexa; much loved cousins in Kentucky, North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Florida; along with her best friend, Martha Jean Amorocho.

Her funeral is 3pm Monday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial at 12pm Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashland, KY. Visitation is after 12pm Monday until the time of the service.
