INCHESTER - Sharon C. Fahrson, 71, of Winchester, wife of Richard L. Fahrson, passed away Tuesday in St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
A native of Boyd County, she was born May 4, 1943, to the late Willie Delbert and Virginia Hanshaw Clay.
She was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Iuka M. Hanshaw, and a sister, JoAnn Douglas.
Sharon retired after 19 years as a license clerk for the City of Winchester. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ashland.
She is also survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa (Dr. Ishmael) Stevens of Ashland; a daughter, Jennifer Fahrson of Winchester; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn E. Stevens and Cassandra K. Stevens; and a nephew, Michael Douglas.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at First Presbyterian Church, 1600 Winchester Ave., by the Rev. Ann Pitman. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. today, June 27, at Lazear Funeral Home, 1632 Central Ave. in Ashland.
