Scott Neal Snowden - 1948-2008
Scott Neal Snowden, 60, of Ashland, husband of Rose Snowden, died Thursday morning in Community Hospice Care Center following an extended illness.
Scott was born Feb. 7, 1948, in Pound, Va., a son of the late Vernon Neal and Freda Snowden.
Scott was a field superintendent with Ivy Mechanical Co. and a Vietnam War veteran. He was of the Christian faith and a member of the Ashland Elks.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, are a son, Matthew Scott Snowden; and a brother, Clinton Snowden.
Surviving, in addition to his loving wife of 10 years, are a son, Andrew Snowden of Boston; a stepson, Jonathan Ray Helton of Rush, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Michal Ann (T.J. ) Haney of Flatwoods, Ky.; a brother, Milton Ray Snowden of Russell, Ky.; a sister, Carolyn Sue Savage of Raceland, Ky.; and two grandchildren, Makaela Rose and Matthew Antoni Haney.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rose Hill Burial Park by Rev. Terry Waggoner.
