Salvatore V. Minutelli, 78, of Ashland, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017, in Cabell Huntington Hospital.
He was born November 6, 1939, in Clarksburg, W.Va., a son of the late Angelo and Carmella Fiorenza Minutelli.
Sal was an active member of Calvary Episcopal Church where he sang in the choir. He was a member of Guyandotte Civil War Days, Madie Carol House Society, Associate member of Democratic Women's Club of Boyd County, a former member of Sons of American Legion Post 16 and volunteered with Blessings in a Backpack Feeding Ashland's Hungry Children on the weekends.
He was a graduate of Clarksburg Junior College. He retired from Smith Barney after many years of service.
Survivors include his partner, Victor S. Wilson of Ashland; brother Michael A. Minutelli Jr. of Clarksburg; sisters, Colombia Sartoris of Export, Pa., and Rose Marie Calabretta of Moon Township, Pa.; nephews, David (Tracy) Sartoris of Sarver, Pa., and Alan (Carrie) Sartoris of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and niece, Deborah (Jack) Kearney of Export.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2017, at Calvary Episcopal Church with The Reverend Mother T.J. Azar officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.
