Sally Margaret Duncan Sexton, 90, of Ashland, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2012.
Sally was born Sept. 20, 1921, in Ashland, to the late Rev. William and Lydia Goodwin Duncan.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Ashland.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John L. Sexton; a daughter, Judith Ann Sexton Lewis; a stepson, John Henry Sexton; four brothers, Ernest Duncan, Homer Duncan, Paul Duncan and Walter Duncan; and five sisters, Wanda Felty, Mary Wright, Florence Duncan, Ruth Hampton and Dorothy Duncan.
Survivors include a son, Michael Sexton and his wife, Diana, of Ashland; a daughter, Lydia Whitlock and her husband, Marvin, of Ashland; a son-in-law, James R. Lewis Sr. of Flatwoods; a sister, Edith Vincent of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Richard Sexton, Ronald (Donna) Sexton, John Sexton, James Lewis Jr., JoAnn (Eric) Speaks, Raymond (Lisa) Whitlock, Paul (Karen) Whitlock, Tonya (Jeremy) Nagle and Lisa (Gary) McIlvain; 17 great-grandchildren; special friends and caregivers Frank and Barb Robinson of Lake Wales, Fla.; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by the Rev. Steve Ruby. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 30, 2012, at the funeral home.
