Ruth Macomb

Ruth Beatrice Reynolds Macomb, 83, of Bellefonte, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018, in Ashland.
A native of Woodford County, she was born December 17, 1934, to the late John M. and Katie Long Reynolds.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 56 years, Richard A. Macomb III; four sisters, Della Peel, Stella Hughes, Lucille Brooks and Anna Holderman; two brothers, Roy Reynolds and Robert Reynolds.
Ruth was a devoted wife and mother. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her generosity and sharing with friends. She was happiest working in her yard and flowers, especially her roses. She had a passion for antiquing. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church in Bellefonte.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Richard A. "Rusty" Macomb IV of Oklahoma City, OK; a daughter, Melanie Macomb Wangsness (JD) of Miller, SD; grandchildren, Jaidyn Hope Macomb and James Bennett "Ben" Wangsness; a brother, Donald Reynolds and his wife, Dixie, of Wilmore; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at Noon, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Community Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Stewart Schneider. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
Gathering of friends and family will begin after 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the church. All who knew Ruth and her family are asked to join us.
