Ruby Kelley - 1922-2008
On this glorious day, Jesus received his good and faithful servant, Ruby Kelley, hand in hand with angels, to rest eternally by his side. For this obedient child of God, rewards in heaven will be of plenty. Let us rejoice, sing hallelujah and celebrate her home coming with the Lord. She will be received highly in favor, her daily life stands in testimony of the Lord's grace and mercy. She served well her purpose of witness and faith to so many, for so long.
Ruby Fitzpatrick Frazier Kelley, 86, of Catlettsburg passed early Friday morning, Nov. 28, 2008, from her home on Bear Creek. She was the daughter of the late Shelton and Myrtle Singer Fitzpatrick, born March 17, 1922, at Clifford. Her husband of 56 years, Willie E. Kelley, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kelley was a loving homemaker, and a faithful member of Tri-State Full Gospel. She supported the Feeding of the Children Foundation and other various ministries.
Ruby's home was blessed with six children, Larry B. Frazier, his wife Sue, Ashland, Janice Earl, Cheryl Steele, her husband Mike, Tammy Steele, her husband Tommy, all of Catlettsburg, Nancy Kelley, her companion, George Thomas, Fort Pierce, Fla., Charles Kelley, his wife Amy, Ashland; 14 wonderful grandchildren, and 24 precious great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are four brothers, Alta Fitzpatrick, Ray Fitzpatrick, Tom Fitzpatrick, Ken Fitzpatrick; five sisters, Jessie Davis, June Bartram, Jewell Frazier, Joyce Frazier, Jenny Salyers; three sisters-in-law, Anna Lou Fitzpatrick, Dixie Fitzpatrick, Betty Fitzpatrick; four brothers-in-law, Ked Davis, Jack Bartram, James Frazier, Winfred Salyers; a son-in-law, Carl C. Earl; and a grandson, Chad Michael Steele.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Kelley will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. A message of comfort will be offered by Rev. Dick Maynard and her son, Pastor Larry Frazier will offer a personal eulogy. Final rest to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Those wishing to call on the Kelley family may do so 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends after the committal service at the home of Janice Earl on Bear Creek in Catlettsburg.
