Rosemarie Roark, 66, of Ashland, widow of Charles E. "Butch" Roark, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va., following an extended illness.
Rosemarie was born Sept. 20, 1948, in Ashland, a daughter of the late James and Virginia Adams Sturgill.
Rose was a graduate of Fairview High School class of 1967 and loved working on her class reunion. She was a cashier in the retail industry, having worked in the past at Foodland, Lowes and Walmart.
Rosemarie is survived by her two daughters, Angela Gue and her husband, Billy, of Kenova, W.Va., and Jennifer Menshouse and her boyfriend, Kevin Yates, of Nicholasville; three brothers, Jimmy (Shirley) Sturgill of Ashland and Larry (Debbie) Sturgill and Fred (Angie) Sturgill, all of Westwood; five grandchildren, Aaron Renfroe, Shelby Renfroe, Lexi Menshouse, Billy Gue and Gavin Menshouse; two great-grandchildren, Ariel Stewart and Gage Renfroe; and a host of extended family and friends.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by Pastor Dennis Miles. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
