Ronald L. Lewis (1934-2010)
Ronald L. Lewis, age 76, of Ashland, Ky., died Friday, April 2, 2010 in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
He was born Feb. 3, 1934, in Boyd County, Ky., a son of the late John Lewis and Garnett Fannin Lewis.
He retired as a clerk at Armco Foundry in 1992, was a member of 13th Street Baptist Church and a clerk with the Kentucky National Guard.
Surviving are his wife, Martha G. Luther Lewis; a son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Cinda Lewis of New Port, N.C.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sonya Lewis of Morehead City, N.C., and Alane and Ira Cox of Boyd County; two grandchildren, Chelsea Lee Lewis and Pamela Lynn Cox; one brother and sister-in-law, James R. and Sandy Lewis of Ashland; and a sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Fred Dye of Conway, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 5, 2010 at 13th Street Baptist Church by Pastor Bill Parker. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to 13th Street Baptist Church, Community Hospice or a charity of choice.
