WESTWOOD - Robert "Bob" Queen, 72, of Westwood, husband of Kathi Moore Queen, passed away Friday afteroon, May 20, 2011, at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center.
Bob was born Dec. 19, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Clyde and Grace Preston Queen. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a retired postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service in Hitchens. He was of Jehovah Witness faith and enjoyed studying the Bible with one of the Jehovah's Witness and was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
In addition to his loving wife, Kathi Moore Queen of Westwood, Bob is survived by one son, Daniel R. Queen, and one daughter, Karli S. Queen, both at home; and one brother, Keith (Linda) Queen of Catlettsburg; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by by Minister Joe Monett. Friends may call Tuesday after 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
