Randal Felty

Randal L. Felty, 52, of Ashland, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010, at his residence.

He was born June 21, 1958, in Carter County, Ky. His wife, Naomi Ruth Abrams Felty, survives.

Mr. Felty was a member of American Legion Clarence Fields Post 76 in Ashland.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents, Belvia Blevins Wright of Ashland, Ky., and Frank Felty of Grayson, Ky.; two sons, Mike (Becky) Johnson of Somerset, Ky., and Derrick (Melissa) Felty of Carter County, Ky.; a daughter, Melissa (Roy) Hicks of Ashland, Ky.; five grandchildren who were active in his life, Austin, Taressa, Roy and Matthew Hicks and Emily Felty; 12 other grandchildren; a brother, James Felty of Ashland, Ky.; and three sisters, Rhonda Hall of Ashland, Ky., Debbie Synder of South Point, Ohio, and Melissa Barker of Goshen, Ky.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010, at Lazear Funeral Home ina��Ashland by Pastor Paul Profit. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
