Ralph Emlund

Ralph R. "Skip" Emlund , 79, of Ironton, OH, died Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Hospice Care Center. He was born January 27, 1939, in Chicago, IL the son of the late Ralph Fredrick and Ann Lucille Miller Emlund. He was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad, a U.S. Marine veteran, member of the American Legion and of the Christian faith. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a step son, Shawn Wayne Rucker. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Henson Emlund; two sons, Daniel Fredrick Emlund and Russell Edward Emlund both of Chicago, IL; one step son, Michael Rucker of Ironton, OH; one sister, Bonnie Ann Emlund of Chicago, IL; one brother, Richard Emlund of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren, Andrew Emlund, Daniel Emlund Jr, Hannah Emlund, Kayla Emlund, Paula Ann Emlund, Joseph Emlund and Katie Emlund. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday May 1, 2018 at Miller Funeral Home by Pastor Jean Daniels and Rev. Harold Dixon. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park with military honors conducted by the Kenova American Legion Post 93. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
