Paula Kay Nichols, 74, of Ashland, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, in Boyd Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Aug. 1, 1938, in Ashland, the daughter of the late Paul and Venus Rice Wellman.
She was a member of Old Orchard Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Edward Nichols; a son, Jeffrey Scott Nichols and wife Susan of Greenup; a brother, Thomas E. Wellman and wife Carole of Ashland; a granddaughter, Amber Nicole Turner and husband Jason of Jonesboro, Ark.; a great-grandson, Carter Joseph Turner of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by Pastor Bill Kennedy. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
The family will receive friends after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland KY 41101 or Old Orchard Christian Church, 3600 Blackburn Ave., Ashland KY 41101.
