Patsy Ruth Anderson, 82, of Ashland, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
She was born May 23, 1930, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Guy Sherman Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Huffman Sherman.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Sherman Ison; a brother, Theodore Sherman; and a baby brother, Guy Sherman Jr.
She was a retired cafeteria worker with Ashland Oil Inc. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Ashland, attended Calvary Episcopal Church in Ashland and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFWa��Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband, David W. Anderson of Ashland; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan Miller (Mike) of Russell; a granddaughter, Kathryn Miller-Cook of Ashland; a grandson, Adam Miller (Kate Preston of Ashland; great-grandchildren Vivianne Marie Miller and Peyton and Caleb Cook, all of Ashland; a brother-in-law, Paul Anderson of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; and a sister, Libbie Sherman of Lexington.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today, June 15, 2012, at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
