ASHLAND - Paris Smith Justice, 82, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2011 in Mount Carmel West Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Mr. Justice was born June 16, 1928 in Mingo County, W.Va., a son of the late William Smith Justice and his mother, Millie Burchett Justice Sherman. He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Aritta Allen and Linda Lou Justice; three brothers; Johnie Justice, Andrew Justice and Thurman Justice; three sisters, Angieline Hinkle, Hulda Hinkle, and Nora Hinkle.
Mr. Justice was a retired coal miner with Island Creek Coal Co. in Red Jacket, W.Va., and a member of Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwoods. He enjoyed going to the flea markets and hunting with his sons.
He is survived by his former wife, Nancy Hunt Justice: four sons, Wesley Justice, Franklin Justice, Troy Justice, and Eddie Ray Justice; two daughters, Janice May and Diana Oliver, all of Columbus. He is also survived by four sisters, Elizabeth Ann Tiller, Ethel Rife and Emma Paige Hinkle, all of Delbarton, W.Va., and Mary Jane (Leon) Daugherty of Chattaroy, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 11 am Monday, April 25, 2011 at Pentecostal Holiness Tabernacle in Flatwoods with Pastor Lloyd L. Bailey and Assistant Pastor Jeff E. Smith. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
The visitation will be from 6 until 9 p.m .Sunday, April 24, 2011 at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
