Opal Moles (1916-2009)
Opal Bentley Moles, 93, of Ashland passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was born Jan. 13, 1916, in Virgie, the daughter of the late Simon and Sarah Roberts Bentley. She was a member of the Ashland First Church of the Nazarene; a homemaker and a school teacher in the Floyd County and Boyd County school systems.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Marion Moles; and a son, Larry Jeff Moles.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Phil Thompson of Russell; one sister, Cora and Junior Ashley of Ashland; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be 7 p.m. today at Miller Funeral Home by the Rev. Philip Richardson.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
