Noah Adams - 1931-2009 Noah Franklin "Bud" Adams, 77, of Westwood, Ky., husband of Peggy Stambaugh Adams, died Wednesday evening in Kingsbrook Life Care Center following an extended illness.
Noah was born July 23, 1931, in Johnson County, Ky., a son of the late Ottie and Zelpha Williams Adams.
He was a member of Westwood Enterprise Baptist Church, a retired operator after 38 years with Marathon Ashland Petroleum and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Noah was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a son, J.P. Adams, in 1983; a brother, James R. Evans; and a sister, Jule Vanhoose.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Theresa and husband Bill Whitlock of Ashland, Ky.; two sons, Gary Adams of Westwood and Mark Adams and wife Josie of San Antonio, Texas; two half brothers, Charles Ray Evans of Champaign, Ill., and Ronnie Adams of Flatwoods, Ky.; three half sisters; Janet Short of Flatwoods, Nagatha Kendricks of Flatwoods and Carol Sparks, whom he raised, of Somerset, Ky.; 10 grandchildren, Aaron, Noah, J.P., Wesley, Tyler, Justin, Melissa, Sonshine, Jason and Natalie; and four great-grandchildren, Issac, Tyler, Matthew and Jennifer.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland by Pastor Ed Cook. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
