ASHLAND - Nancy P. Moore, 88, of Ashland, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, with her loving family at her side in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Moore was born Nov. 1, 1924, at Adams, a daughter of the late Morton and Alma Burton Adams.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Moore; a brother and sister-in-law, Isaac and Charlene Adams; a sister and brother-in-law, Ella and Carl Edwards; and a brother-in-law, Jay Young.
Nancy was retired from Ashland Oil Inc., and was a former volunteer at King's Daughters Hospital and River Cities Harvest. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg.
Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Lee Kelder of Dallas, Texas, and her children, Angela Stovall and Kelly Morton; Ruth McCall, her husband, Richard, of Lexington, and their daughter, Lauren Bishop; Shirley Counts, her husband, Rick, of Russell, and their daughter, Hannah Gloria; Susan Lester, her husband, Larry, of Cannonsburg, and their sons, Micah Lester and Zachary Lester; and Carol Hiler, her husband, Brian, of Versailles, and their daughter, Alee Farris; 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters June Young of Catlettsburg, Betty Evans (Lee) of Ashland, Annis Rucker (Ron) of Rush and Peggy Amos (Bill) of Catlettsburg.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg. Pastor Stan Williams will offer a message of comfort. The final resting place will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and an hour before services at the church.
Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg is in charge of arrangements.
