Mrytle Debord

Myrtle C. Debord, 85, of Grayson, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014 at Carter County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 25, 1929 in Carter County, to the late James and Bertha (Knipp) Walker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Diane Debord; a brother, Marcus Walker and two sisters, Maude Wilburn and Gincy Dickison.

Mrs. Debord was a housewife and a member of Kilgore United Methodist Church.


She is survived by her husband, Talmadge Debord of Grayson; a sister, Nellie Dailey of Lexington, and ten nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Kilgore United Methodist Church in Rush by Fred Wiles, minister. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson. Entombment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
