Mimmel Travis - 1923-2008
Mimmel Conley Travis, 85, of Ashland, passed away late Wednesday evening, April 30, 2008, at the King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Travis was born Jan. 16, 1923, in Morgan County, a daughter of the late Walter and Ella Wallin Conley. She was a homemaker, with family always first in her life.
Mimmel leaves behind her loving husband of 58 years, James E. Travis; a daughter, Peggy Thomas of Ashland; and a precious grandchild, Careena Harris; several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are three brothers, Jude Conley, Herndon "Hank" Conley and Noel Conley.
A service in memory of Mimmel Travis will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Bros. Paul Price and Carlos Dingess will offer words of comfort and inspiration. Final rest will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Those wishing to call on the Travis family may do so between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
