Mildred Adams - 1922-2008
Mildred Lorene Franklin Adams, 86, of Paris, Ky., passed away on Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 following an extended illness.
Mildred was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Catlettsburg, a daughter of the late James Marion and Willa Belle Fugitt Franklin. She was a member of Russell Cave Road Baptist Church in Lexington, Ky. and a former member of Fairview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Don Franklin and a sister, Pauline Caldwell.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Howard Curtis Adams; two sons, Howard Curtis Adams Jr. and his wife, Linda of Dalton, Ga., and Rocky Dale Adams and his wife, Cheryl of Paris; two brothers, Jim Franklin of Ashland, Ky., and Carl Franklin of Florida; three sisters, Loretta Mott of Lancaster, Ohio, Jewell Priddy of Huntington, W.Va., and Jean Caskey of Mexico Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, Christopher (Kristin) Scott Adams, Rhonda (Dusty) Cummins, Robyn (Jarrod) Bentley, Jon (Andrea) Adams, Heather Adams and Mary (Perry) McLawhorn; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood by the Rev. Mike Rice. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
