Michael Donta

Michael Delmis Donta, 24, of Ashland, left this world on Monday, July 12, 2010.

Michael was born Feb. 12, 1986, in Ashland, Ky., to Michael Donta and the late Brenda Nolan Donta. He worked as a welder and was a member of First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda June Nolan Donta; paternal grandfather Delmis Donta and maternal grandfather John Nolan.

Survivors include his son, Jaxon Tyler Donta; his fiancée and Jaxon's mother, Christina Lowe of Ashland; his father, Michael C. Donta of Cannonsburg; a sister, Allison LeRae Skeans of Cannonsburg; niece and nephew Kamryn Skeans and Brayden Skeans; paternal grandmother Jean Donta of Ashland; and maternal grandmother Jean Nolan Hamilton of Ashland.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2010, by Pastor Stan Williams at the First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood and an hour before services Friday at the church.
