Michael Conley (1946-2008)
Michael "Mickey" Conley, 61, of Ashland died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at his home, following a short illness. He was born Dec. 27, 1946, in Boyd County, a son of the late Daniel B. and Ivory Coffey Conley. He was the husband of Carol West Conley, who survives. He was a member of Meade Station Church of God, Greenhill 521 F&AM and the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 248, where he retired. He was discharged as a specialist 4th Class with the Army National Guard.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Conley.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include one daughter, Lisa C. (Krys) Bowman of Lexington; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Harold and Betty Conley and Marvin and Donna Conley, all of Ashland and Joan Conley of Westwood; one grandog, Wrigley.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Steen Funeral Home, 13th Street Chapel, in Ashland, with Pastor Rob Jordan officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Linda Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Meade Station Church of God, 1315 Marsh Hill, Ashland, Ky. 41102.
