Esta Jayne "Shug" Conley, 92, of Catlettsburg, passed away Monday morning, July 21, 2014, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born in Floyd County on June 9, 1922, to the late Hiram Morgan Stumbo and Ella Sizemore Stumbo Hamilton.
She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Duvall Hamilton; her loving husband of 74 years, Herman Conley, in 2012; two brothers, Garland and Clifford Hamilton; and a sister, Sarah Ellen Storie.
She was a member of Meade Station Church of God and was a loving and devoted homemaker.
She is survived by sons Herman Conley Jr. (Nancy) of Madisonville and Roger D. Conley (Lavina) of Flatwoods; a daughter, Sharon F. Compton of Ashland; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel by James Stephens. A private burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
