Lorraine Adkins Slone, age 91, passed away Sunday, March 24.

She was the daughter of the late Autie and Mayme Adkins. Her husband, Lonnie Ray, preceded her in death 15 months ago. They were married for 69 years.

She is survived by her dear sister, Betty Harrington, two children, Jana Leigh Hall (Rev Tom) of Wexford, PA and son, Michael Ray Slone (Teresa) of Ashland; grandchildren, Patrick (Rebekah) Hall, Ryan Slone, Rev Dr Sean (Andrea) Hall, and Lauren (Matt) Evans; and five great grandchildren, Abby, Emma, and Leslie Hall, Jack and Caroline Evans.

Lorraine was a lifelong follower of Jesus Christ. She was a member of Grace Nazarene Church for over 60 years. There she served as secretary of the board for over 20 years. She taught children’s Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She and Lonnie loved to spend winters in Ft Myers for over 30 years, where she was active at First Nazarene Church of Fort Myers. Her faith was her great legacy, placing upmost importance on passing it on to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
