Lonny C. Miller, 70, of Flatwoods, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Lonny was born May 3, 1948 in Ashland, a son of the late Basil Dale and Flora Louise Barker Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Carolyn Sue Blanton Miller.
Lonny was a lifelong member of the Wildwood Baptist Church in Ashland. He served the Lord in many ways and traveled the tristate area with the former gospel group, The Lordsmen Quartet. He founded Miller's Lock & Key in Flatwoods, managed the Hillbilly Flea Market in Russell for 23 years and retired as a Step up Foreman from AK Steel.
Survivors include his loving wife Fonda Lou Duncan Miller of Flatwoods, his son David Miller of Flatwoods, his daughter Christy Miller Woods and husband Greg of Flatwoods, step-daughters Alvina (Eric) Jordan of Ashland, Amanda (Lee) Thatcher of Carroll, OH, brother Dale "Rick" (Donna) Miller of Ashland, sister Sharon Rose (Bill) Hensley of Ashland, grandchildren Adam Salyers, Cristin (Josh) McCoy, Amber Miller, Charles Brandon Miller, Rebecca Thacker, Christopher Woods, 11 great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Steen Funeral Home 13th St. Chapel by Pastor Tom Leach. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00am till service time at 1:00 at the funeral home.
