Leonidas R. Dulaney - 1925-2009
Leonidas R. Dulaney, 84, of Ashland, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. He was born Feb. 11, 1925, in Hanley, W.Va., a son of the late Elmer R. and Iva Mae Wilder Dulaney.
He retired in 1986 as a laborer for C&O Railroad and served in the U.S. Army.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Mark S. Dulaney.
Survivors include his wife, Arilda Daniels Dulaney; four daughters, Carolyn Sue Phillips and Ethel M. Dulaney, both of Ashland, Brenda Wellman of Florida nd Sharon L. Boll of Franklin Furnace, Ohio; four sons, Russell Dulaney of Franklin Furnace, Danny Dulaney of Florida, George Dulaney of Lexington and Charles Dulaney of Ashland; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
There will be a private funeral at 1 p.m. today at the Rose Hill Mausoleum in Ashland by the Tim Throckmorton, minister. Entombment will follow the service.
There will be no visitation.
