Leo Dean "Sugar Foot" Pinchin Sr. - 1917-2009
Leo Dean "Sugar Foot" Pinchin Sr., 92, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009 in Oakmont Manor Nursing Home.
He was born June 20, 1917, in Crown Point, N.Y., a son of the late Clarence Pinchin and Addie Pinchin.
His wife, Maxine Kazee Pinchin; and two sons, Clifford Pinchin and Leo Dean Pinchin Jr., also preceded him in death.
He was a retired guard with Armco Steel with 27 years of service. He was a Navy veteran, and a member of First Christian Church of Christ and Ceredo-Kenova American Legion Post 93.
Surviving are a very dear friend, Frances Rayborn of Ashland; a son and daughter-in-law, Philip Pinchin and Debbie of Arizona; a daughter, Jennie Cantrell of Ashland; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at noon Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, at Lazear Funeral Home Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Ike Nicholson. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
