Leatrice West Kelly

Leatrice Joy West Kelly, 77, of Ashland, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Community Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Kelly was born September 22, 1941 in Blaine, KY a daughter of the late Noah N. and Mertie Ferguson West. Also preceding in death is brother, Claude West, and sister, Josephine Perry.
Leatrice was a graduate of Blaine High School and a homemaker. She loved her family, her hobbies included gardening, and… flowers, camping, crocheting, being outside, riding her bike, and loved going out to eat. Leatrice was a former member of Boyd County Homemakers, active in Women’s Ministry, and attended Cannonsburg Nazarene Church.
Surviving is her adoring husband of 59 years, Clinton C. Kelly, their children, Debra A. Stratton (Doyle) of Catlettsburg, Sandra L. Cordle (Thomas, Jr) of Ashland, KY, Stephen C. Kelly (Michelle) of Ashland, KY, grandchildren, Corey Stratton (Kayla), Kelly Nattier (Jason), Blake Kelly (Keirann), Lindsay Cordle, Brayden Kelly, and great grandchildren, Bryden, Kennedi, and Dakota. She is also survived by brothers, Grover Eugene West of Louisa, KY, Spencer “Jim” West (Joan) of Kenova, WV, Floyd C. “Buck” West (Evelyn) of Louisa, KY, Donald R. West (Donna) of Louisa, KY, Paul West, Jr (Joyce) of Louisa, KY, Eddie Dean West (Theresa) of Louisa, KY, sisters, Edith Ann Walker (Bob) of Louisa, Lana Gay Wright of Springfield, OH, and brother-in-law James Perry of Louisa.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Kelly will be at 11:00am Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Chaplain Jimm Smedley will officiate. Final resting place in Rose Hill Mausoleum. Visiting hours are 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday evening at the Funeral Home.
