Laura Alice Wheeler (1921-2010)
Laura Alice Wheeler, 89, of Ashland, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, in King's Daughters Medical Center. She was born Jan. 14, 1921, in Johnson County, Ky. to the late Lafayette and Sabra Alice Daniels Chandler. She was a retired employee of The Henry Clay Hotel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earshel Wheeler; a son, James Earshel Wheeler; and 14 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a daughter, Emma Jean Adkins and husband Roger Dale of Flatwoods, Ky.; a son, David Wheeler of Ashland; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by Rev. Mike Rice. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
