Kermit Preston - 1925-2010
Kermit Preston, 84, of Worthington, Ky., died Jan. 13, 2010, in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, Ky.
He was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Johnson County, Ky., a son of the late Garland and Elizabeth Johnson Preston.
He was a retired conductor for the C&O Railroad, a member of Kenwood Baptist Church, a World War II Army veteran and had a doctorate in theology.
Surviving are his wife, Lillian Ruth Dove Preston of Worthington; a daughter, Kerma Lynn (Kenny) Clark of Worthington; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Stepp of Bellefonte, Ky.; grandsons Kasey Clark, Jason Clark and Cory Clark; granddaughters Katie Clark and Kristen Wyscarver; great-grandson Brady Clark; and great-granddaughters Grace Caroline Clark and Bristol Clark.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at Wright's Funeral Home in Greenup, Ky., by Brother Dallas Sutton. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
