Kenneth David May, 72, of Ashland, died Friday, March 13, 2015, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
He was born April 15, 1942, in Ashland, the son of the late Lawrence W. and Allene Williams May.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ronald May, Richard May and Donald May.
He was a retired police officer and detective for the Ashland Police Department, a member of the Ashland FOP Lodge and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by a sister, Linda May Cornwell of Ashland; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private graveside services will be at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum in Ashland with Dr. Wesley K. Smith officiating.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pollard Baptist Church, 444 Blackburn Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
Miller Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
