Johnny Jackson 93, of Ashland, Ky. died Friday, March 29, 2019 at his home in Ashland Johnny was born Dec. 8, 1925 in Elliot Co., Ky. a son of the late Roma Jackson Boggs. he was a Private in the US Army serving during WWII where he served in  Europe in the 7th army 100th infantry division , Army  398th infantry,  earning a bronze star as well as others. He was retired from the Columbia Gas of Kentucky as a division plant Mgr. in 1988 after 39yrs. of service; he was of the Christian Faith and a member of the Elks Lodge BPOE 350. Johnny is proceeded in death in addition to his mother by a brother Curtis Boggs and a sister Yvonne Boggs Fletcher. surviving are his wife of 67 years Belva L. Jackson of Ashland, KY, a son and his wife Greg L. & Cheryl A. Jackson of Ashland, KY, a daughter and her husband Elizabeth J. & C. Kirby Hall of Ashland, KY, six grandchildren John Kirby Hall of Ludlow, KY, Erin Hall Norman (Aaron) of Braunfels, TX, Katherine A. Jackson of Ashland, KY, Leela R. Jackson of Ashland, KY. Sarah B. Runyon(Josh) of Ashland, KY and Catelyn Bowman of Ashland, KY, three great grandchildren Sam Runyon of Ashland, KY, Harper Runyon of Ashland, KY and Easton  C. Norman of Ashland, KY. Funeral services for Johnny will be conducted on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland by Rev. Thomas Jackson with burial to follow in Rose Hill Burial Park with military rites by Ceredo-Kenova American Legion Post 93. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, April 2, 2019 one hour before services.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland,Ky.
