Jewell Warren Walker, age 81, of Lakeland, Fla., formerly of Greenup County, Ky., died on her 81st birthday, Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, in Oakbridge Health Care Center in Lakeland.
She was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Ashland, Ky., a daughter of the late Arthur G. and Jessie Angle Warren.
Her loving husband, James Hart Walker, died in 1991.
She was a retired real estate broker who was an accomplished musician. She was a 1945 graduate of Ashland High School and a member of Cannonsburg Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Michael Reece (Angela) Johnson of Polk City, Fla.; daughters, Sharon (Arthur) Murray and Beth Duncan, all of Lakeland, Dana (Jim) Rice of Ashland and Capt. Carol (Ron Hunter) Walker, DC, USN of Yokosuka, Japan; an uncle, Robert Angle of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Melissa Grant, Rodney Brenneman, Brian Brenneman, Kelly Shay, Mike Johnson, Bradley Johnson, David Murray and Juliana Rice; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2008 at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland by Brother Glen Lilly and Brother Frank Baldridge.
Services are under the direction of Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
