RUSH - James L. Hall, 86, of Rush, passed away June 1, 2013, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

He was born Aug. 25, 1926, to the late Dewey and Inez Suttles Hall.

He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Maggie Alene Hutchinson Hall; brothers Carmillis Hall and Glen Hall; and sisters Gladys Haywood, Clotine Reeves and Dorothy Brown.

James was a construction worker who was formerly employed by Nick Diniaco. He was a member of Laborers Local 1445, a Kentucky colonel and a member of Kilgore United Methodist Church. He loved to fish, mow grass and do gardening.

He is survived by his sisters, Geraldine Combs of Cincinnati, Shirley Shope (David) of Locust Grove, Ga., and Frances Hutchison (Charles) of Belleville, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family members.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Fred Wiles. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
