Irma Carroll Keeton - 1915-2008
Irma Carroll Keeton, 93, of Ashland, Ky., passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008, in Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Bowling Green. Cremation was chosen.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland by Jim Brazzell, pastor of Ashland First Presbyterian Church.
She was born Jan. 22, 1915, in Ashland, and graduated from Ashland High School and Ashland Business School. She played basketball in high school for the Kittens.
She was an octogenarian member of First Presbyterian Church. She retired in 1981 from Second National Bank and was active in many civic, charitable and church groups.
She was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Kathleen Newell Carroll and was also preceded in death by her husband, Francis O. Keeton; a brother, Jack N. Carroll of California; and a son-in-law, Patrick E. Riley of Franklin, Ky.
She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn K. Riley of Franklin; a son, Jack S. Keeton and wife Karen of Savannah, Ga.; a grandson, Brad S. Keeton and wife Tacia of Louisville, Ky.; and Brad's mother, Barbara Keeton of Ashland.
