FLATWOODS - Inge Mauss McLeod-Thomas, 75, of Flatwoods, passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at her residence.
Inge was born in Hornbach, Germany, on Oct. 6, 1937, to the late Joseph and Paula Leiter-Mauss.
She was retired from McLeod Trucking, where she was co-owner for many years. Mrs. Thomas was a member of South Point First Church of God. Inge enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, family, church family and friends any time she could. She enjoyed life to her fullest capacity.
She was also preceded in death by her previous husband, Harold L. McLeod, and a sister, Janena Mauss.
Left behind to cherish her loving memory are her devoted husband of nine years, Harold V. Thomas; two sons, Michael McLeod of Grayson and Tom (Leslee) McLeod of Ashland; a daughter, Angie McLeod of Rush; a brother, Helmut Mauss of Germany; a half-brother, Herbert Schmiedel of Germany; a sister, Liselotte Bobkowski of Maryland; seven grandchildren, Dirk, Chad, Brittney, Blake, Matthew, Sarah and Sami; four great-grandchildren; two stepdaughters; four stepgrandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren, all whom will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, with words of comfort delivered by Pastor Paul McNurlin. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call two hours before services at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to South Point Church of God or Community Hospice in Ashland.
