Ina Mildred Scott, 89, of Russell, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center, following a stroke.
She was born July 7, 1927, in Ashland, a daughter of the late George Washington and Verna Mildred Holmes Runyon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George E. Scott in 2003; a brother, George Donald and wife Emma Mae Runyon; and a sister, Rosemary and husband Tom Farley.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Ashland since 1954 and retired after many years of service from King's Daughters Hospital. During the 1970's she was instrumental with the upstart of Home Health in Ashland.
She is survived by two daughters, Constance Mae "Connie Scott" and husband Mark Alan Reynard of Columbus, Ohio and Georgia Lynn (Penny) Scott of Russell; a brother, Ronald Leo and wife Carol Runyon of Ashland; a sister, Ruth and husband Joe Jarvis of Ellisville, Mo.; her grandchildren, Roger David and wife Deborah Kay Reynard, Scott Hudson Reynard, and Christopher Alan and wife Trisha Lynn Reynard; five great-grandchildren, Scott, Zachary, Nathan, C.J. and Evan Reynard; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home - 13th Street Chapel in Ashland with Pastor Luke McLean and Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at the funeral home.
