Henry Blevins - 1936-2008
Henry E. "Ed" Blevins, 72, of Lloyd went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell. He was born June 24, 1936, in Ashland, a son of the late Bert and Lucy Blevins.
He retired in 1994 from GTE and was employed with the new AT&T, formerly Cingular Wireless. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his loving wife, Dawn Ramey Blevins; two daughters, Mary Beth (Eric) Thacker and Megan (Eddie) Fitzwater, both of Greenup; one son, Jason (Sarah) Blevins of Greenup; one sister, Mary Lou Stewart of White House, Tenn.; two brothers, Emmett Blevins of Summit and Bob Blevins of Ft. Worth, Texas; and eight grandchildren, Amber Thacker, Erica Thacker, Jeremy Fetters, Brandi Blevins, Chelsea Howell Blevins, Emilee Blevins, Creed Fitzwater and Kegan Fitzwater.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Worthington, by the Rev. Wayne Kuhner. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
