Harold Lee Eagleston, 76, of Ashland, died Saturday, May 12, 2012, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
He was born July 5, 1935, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late Dorsey Hugh and Martha Ellen Hayton Eagleston.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Eugene Eagleston, and two grandchildren, Kristina Laura May and Christian James.
He retired from the production planning department at AK Steel. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member and former employee of American Legion Post 76 of Ashland. He grew up in Huntington, W.Va., until the family moved to Proctorville, Ohio. He was a graduate of Fairland High School in Proctorville.
Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Michelle Schultz and husband Patrick of Milton, Wis., and Leigh Ann Roman and husband Erwin of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Barbara Moore and husband Lionel of Pliny, W.Va., Mary Vanhorn and husband Robert of Glidden, Iowa, and Virginia Benson and husband Jimmy of Huntington; a brother, Kenneth Eagleston and wife Sharon of Barboursville, W.Va.; and three grandchildren, Gracie Schultz, Olivia Roman and Joey Roman.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Trent Eastman. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
