Gary L. Wilhelm Sr., 57, of Raceland, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Wilhelm was born Aug. 29, 1951, in Clifton Forge, Va., a son of the late Dana Wilhelm and the late Annabelle Knuckles Wilhelm McCulley.
He was a retired carman for the C&O Railroad and a graduate of Russell High School
Surviving are a daughter, Christi Leadingham of Argillite; two sons, Gary L. Wilhelm Jr. of Flatwoods and Dwight Wilhelm of Worthington; two sisters, Judy Gumbert of Wurtland and June Campbell of Greenup; two grandchildren, Dale Leadingham and Holly Wilhelm; his former wife, Nancy Salyers Wilhelm of Flatwoods; and his stepfather Bill McCulley of Wurtland.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 3, 2008, at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland by the Rev. Mark McKinney. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
