Fred Akers

Fred Edward Akers Jr. was born on February 14, 1937 in Greenup County, Ky. He died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at his home in Boyd County, Ky. He was a 35 year retiree from the Kings Daughters Dietary Service. He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Minnie Akers, 2 brothers, Tom and Eldid Akers, 1 sister Geneve Litteral, and his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Wells Akers. He is survived by 1 sister, Pauline Stewart, 1 son Philip (Jennifer) Akers, 2 daughters Felina and Patricia Akers, 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum at 1 P.M. by Minister Ernest Duty II, friends may call at the mausoleum one hour before the service. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland, Ky.
