Frances Dixon - 1949-2008
Frances Faye Dixon, 59, of Ashland, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Dixon was born in Ironton, Ohio, on April 18, 1949, a daughter of Phyllis Naomi Holbrook Stephens of Flatwoods and the late Carl Eugene Stephens.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Reuben Daniel Stephens.
She was a member of Grayson Church of the Nazarene and was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.
She is also survived by her husband, Harold Ray Dixon of Ashland; a daughter, Jeana Catherine Hamilton and her husband, Nathan, of Raceland; two grandchildren, Shelby Ann Hamilton and Caleb Andrew Hamilton, both of Raceland; a brother, Robert Stephens and his wife, Darlene, of Warnock; a sister, Catherine Whitt and her husband, Rick, of Flatwoods; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008, at Wright's Funeral Home in Greenup by Brother Jimmy Harris.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Visitation will after 6 p.m. Tuesday and an hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Myatonic Dystrophy Association, P.O. Box JERRY, Phoenix AZ 85062-1111 or www.MDA.org.
