Fernetta L. 'Funny' Felty 1917-2009
Funny Felty, 92, of Ashland, died Friday morning at Community Hospice Care Center, following an extended illness. She was born March 19, 1917, in New Raimer, Colo., a daughter of the late Conrad and Bertha Fike Walker. She was the wife of the late Warner Hager Felty in 1968. She was a member of the Westwood Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Parker and husband Wayne, of Ashland; a sister, Lucille Moerike of Cody, Wyo.; a special nephew, William E. Felty Sr. and wife Linda, of Flatwoods; two grandchildren, Dawnetta Steele and husband Dwayne, and Randy Parker and wife Tammy; and great-grandchildren, Mariah, Randa, Wesley and Ashlee.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland, with Dean Jackson, minister, and brother Dave McKinney officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
