Fannie Maye Hicks - 1919-2008
Fannie Maye Hicks, 89, of Ashland, went home to be with her God Monday, June 16, 2008 from the Community Hospice Care Center.
She was born Feb. 14, 1919, in Boyd County, Ky., the daughter of the late Lee Anders and Lou Whitley Gullett.
She was a member of the Kenova Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Owen Dee Hicks in 1981.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Greene of Ashland; two sons, David Hicks and his wife Veronica and Brian Hicks and his wife Linda of Ashland; eight grandchildren, Mark Hensley, Scott Hensley, Angela Hall, Lisa Hicks, Jessica Evans, Jason Hicks, Jerad Hicks and Jamie Greene; and six great-grandchildren, Timothy W. Crace, Danielle Rakes, Shian Hall, Cole Hall, Blake Hall and Olivia Hensley.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Rose Hill Mausoleum by Pastor Amos Prince. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
