Earcel Dickinson (1917-2008)
Earcel Dickinson, 91, of Ashland, Ky., formerly of Grayson, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born March 7, 1917, in Hitchins, Ky., a daughter of the late Willie Buck and Lizze Meadows Hall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Harlem Bishop; brothers Bruce Hall, Lack Hall, Riley Hall and Cecil Hall; and sister Naomi Barker.
She was a devoted homemaker.
Surviving are daughters Mary Spears of Ashland, Wanda Maynard of Firebrick, Ky., Jean Dillow of Portsmouth, Ohio, Margie Gillenwater of Gahanna, Ohio, and Drema Gibson of Bellevue, Ohio; brothers Warnie Hall and Jack Hall, both of Hitchins; a sister, Helen Hall of Hitchins; a special granddaughter, Patty Nolen of Ashland; and five generations of loving grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 4, 2008, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Willard Nolen. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.
